We were lucky enough to have another MYSTERY READER visit today!

Mr. Hoppe came in and read us a wonderful puppy book!

5/18/18 -
Today we got a visit from another MYSTERY READER!
Fiona's Mom came in and read us 4 books and brought us some deliecious little cupcakes! Thanks for the awesome visit, Ms. Hagan!

It was a good day to talk about seeds. Then, we planted some green beans!

5/15/18 - Today we had another awesome mystery reader! Declan's Mom came in and read 2 books to us, talked to us about sign language and brought us a yummy treat! Declan was so surprised. His face lit up!

4/27/18 - Mr. Bellantoni stopped in for a visit and to show us some cool yo-yo tricks!

4/26/18 - We have a new MATCH GAME in room 24 so we decided to give it a try today!

4/25/18 - Today we had a very special lesson kindness. We introduced a new routine called The "Bee" Routine. Instead of constantly telling the children what NOT to do, we decided to give them some ideas on what TO do!
We had a long discussion on how to treat our friends and ended it with one big group hug!

4/24/18- Today we made doughnuts! The children patted the dough into a doughnut shape and we fried them up. After frying, the children were given a bag of sugar and the doughnut was put in the bag. After a few good shakes, we have sugar doughnuts!
It was so much fun and the children loved it!
Their favorite part was eating their creations!

Our caterpillars are finally in their chrysalises!
We've moved them to the netted habitat and are patiently waiting their arrival! A few made a chrysalis on the bottom of the cup so we were able to get a close up look before putting them in their new home!

4/11/18 - Our Trip to the ART Museum! Prek4 had such a great time visiting the Philadelphia Museum of Art today.

Happy Imagination Monday!
3/5/18 -
Today we boarded our imaginary bus and took a trip to a rustic old campsite called "Camp Resso." We sat around a pretend campfire and sang camping songs, roasted hot dogs & marshmallows, and even played "Hot Marshmallow." After we were finished, we all got a turn in the tent!
We had a great adventure today!

FEBRUARY-
2/26/18 - Today, room 24 went on an outer space adventure right in our classroom. We traveled to the moon and collected moon rocks. We did a "Blast Off!" count and even got some space candy!

Congratulation to Dominic for being our December Peacemaker. The virtue was FAITH. Gianna received peacemaker for January. The virtue was HOPE.

2/1/18 - Gianna received her 2nd pink ticket today. She was kind enough to let another classmate wear an extra Eagles shirt she had. She also brought in enough cans for the entire room to put one in the EAGLES "SOUP"ER BOWL CHALLENGE bin!

JANUARY
1/31/18 - We had a GREAT day!
We started the day with a puppet show, had a great performance by the Resurrection Cheerleaders and ended it with a Faculty vs. 8th Grade student Volleyball Game. The students won (AGAIN) but we all had a great time! Go Road Runners!

1/22/18 - Today, we celebrated Andros' birthday with yummy treats and a dance party! He's got some great dance moves!

1/17/18 - The weather today is so crazy, we decided to do a fun science experiment!
First, we each got a cup with an ice cube. We touched it and felt how cold it was. We also felt the water it left behind on our hands.

Next, we all took guesses on how long it would take to melt!
While we waited, we read a great story about snow.

When the book was finished, the ice cubes still weren't melted. Since a watched pot never boils, we decided to do some exercises!

After the ice cubes melted into water, we poured them in our teapot to see what happened next. They made steam!

Today (11-13-17) we learned about the 1st Thanksgiving. The children came up with some interesting alternatives to eating turkey!

Our new Principal, Mr. Bellantoni (We call him Mr. B.) now has a hive!
If a teacher catches us doing something above and beyond to help others, we get a pink ticket. The ticket has our name on it and is put in a box. At the end of each week, a ticket is picked and that person is now in Mr. B.'s "Hive."
Gianna was given a pink ticket for helping others clean up without being asked!

On Thursdays, we get to spend some time in the library. Our Librarian, Mrs. Shirley reads us books and lets us look at books on our own.

Today (10/25/17) we exercised our fingers and hands! We all had a cut out with holes in it. The object was to weave your string in and out of the cut out like we were sewing. We did GREAT! Here is a picture of us concentrating & working hard!

Room 24 just learned our Guardian Angel prayer. We talked about our very own Guardian Angels and we gave them names!Now they hang in the classroom and watch over us!

We love BROWN BEAR! We made our own Brown Bear books so we can read at home with Mommy and Daddy!

We're really working hard on our letters. So far this month we've learned A, B and C!
What fun is learning a new letter if you cant do a cool new craft with it? We use pictures to help us remember our letters and their sounds.

Room 24 & Room 20 went to the Solly Farms pumpkin patch. Farmer Bob taught us all about trying new foods. He even got our Mommies & Daddies to join in. We got to pick some apples and Caiyan even got to be a tree!
